I'M DONE WAITING
FOR CHANGE.

That’s why I’m running for Congress.

Our district deserves a fighter in Congress.

I’m Kat Abughazaleh, a 26-year-old Palestinian American running to represent Illinois’ Ninth District in Congress.

I’m a renter, a former uninsured worker, and a union representative running to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. I’ve spent my career taking on right-wing extremism as a journalist with Media Matters for America, Mother Jones, and Zeteo News.

I’ve fought fascists before and won. Now I’m ready to do it in Congress.

VALUES & ISSUES

My Platform

I’m running a new type of Democratic campaign… If you’re a right-wing billionaire or a member of the Democratic consultant class, this campaign isn’t for you. But if you’re one of the many Americans struggling to afford your basic needs while deeply worried about the looming threat of fascism, I am fighting for you.
